It has been two months without rain. The fields resemble a desert, with patches of grass completely dried out and worn away. Many leaves have started to fall, making you think of autumn one month too early.
After five heatwaves in England this summer, I can’t deny that I am actually looking forward to autumn. The cosy days in, walks into town little, charming cafés with their soft light inviting you in on every corner, the texture of paper as you turn the pages of a book, and a candlelight next to you on your desk.
I love stepping onto the grass in my garden first thing in the morning. The light on my rose bush is gorgeous. The birds are singing.

We went to do our last shopping at a farm shop before we go away in few days. I could actually snuggle into a cosy sweater today, a feeling I have for the first time since June.
The shops are abundant and full of colour at the end of summer. There is autumnal theme wherever you look. The temptation was real and I left shop with gorgeous illustrated tissues, a wooden toadstool, and a cute little pumpkin. They will look so cosy on my shelf next to my squirrel and hedgehog.

I have started packing, completely confused what to take really. Will it be warm, or will it start to get chilly? After all, autumn is not that far away.
Love the morning light.. you can still enjoy breakfast in the garden with the birds chirping in the summer’s warm morning.
I am flipping through my planner… I haven’t used it for a long time. The dashboard and inserts need updating, and the coming September feels like the right moment to do it.

As I have learned to travel light, my bag pack is all I need. I wonder what awaits us in Poland and I must admit, I am already dreaming about pierogi, barszcz, and sernik 😉
See you soon!
